ENJOY A UNIQUE WAY TO COOL OFF THIS SPRING!

With temperatures already rising in the Hill Country, visitors to Austin RV Park North will be looking for ways to cool down. Luckily there’s a great place in the heart of Austin that lets you not only cool down but also have fun doing it! The Barton Springs Pool is a wonderful place to kick back and laze the day away with the whole family.
The Barton Springs Pool is considered one of Austin’s crown jewels. People from all walks of life enjoy this beautiful spot, from politicians to free-spirited college students to young children. The pool’s massive size—a full three acres—leaves plenty of room for everyone to join in the fun. There are plenty of areas to wade in, as well as deep water. The depths range from 0 to 18 feet. It’s unique in that it’s fed from underground springs that have an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, allowing for year-round swimming. Another cool fact about Barton Springs is that it serves as a federally-protected habitat for the endangered Barton Springs Salamander.
The pool closes from 9 am. To 7 p.m. every Thursday to allow for extensive cleaning and maintenance. There are grassy areas surrounding the pool that are perfect for catching some rays, as well as a pool bathhouse. Don’t forget to check out “Splash!”, an exhibit that gives you an insider’s look at Barton Springs and the Edwards Aquifer. To get more detailed information, visit the website here .
