COOL OFF IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

When the Texas heat gets to be too much this summer, you’ll want to head to one of the area’s water parks or swimming holes to cool down. One of our favorites is Blue Hole Park. This beautiful lagoon lets you lounge in the sun surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs.
Cool off in the water, or make use of the hiking and biking trails in the park. You can even bring a snorkel and mask to explore the pools. Make sure to bring water shoes since the rocks can get a little slippery! You won’t be able to jump from the cliffs—it’s illegal. However, there’s plenty to do at Blue Hole Park. You’ll want to pack your camera to catch some shots of this peaceful, scenic place.
The park has space for picnics and public restrooms for your use. You can enter the park at W. Second Street and Rock Street. For more information, hours, and rules, visit the website here .
