CATCH SOLAR ECLIPSE FEVER!

Everyone’s buzzing about the upcoming solar eclipse on August 21st, and we’re no exception! The last total solar eclipse viewable in the United States was back in 1981, and that one wasn’t visible in all parts of the country. So grab some protective glasses and get excited!
If you’re planning a stay with us that weekend, you’ll want to check out the nearby Solar Eclipse Viewing Party sponsored by Round Rock Public Library in partnership with the Space Science Institute. There will be a variety of events going on, but the main attraction will be from noon to two p.m. when the moon’s shadow travels over the area.
The viewing party will happen at Prete Plaza, and a limited number of solar-viewing glasses will be available at the event to protect your eyes. You can get more information here. If you’d like to get more information about solar eclipses before the event, you can visit the Library and see their special display. And if you’ll be staying with us past August 29th, you can attend the Library’s solar eclipse educational event with hands-on activities. For more on that event, go here.
